[characteristics] => GOLD PK is a functional fertilizer recommended for most crops when high amounts of effective phosphorus and potassium are needed. At the beginning of growth, it promotes the development of the roots and the hardening of green tissues. GOLD PK is also very effective on vegetables and fruit trees in the final phase of fruit ripening. Brix, consistency, colour and post-harvesting shelf-life are all considerably improved.
Phosphorus is a macronutrient that is necessary for numerous essential processes of the plant. It plays a vital role in those processes which require energy transfer as in the case of photosynthesis. It is also a necessary nutrient for the formation and development of the seed.
Potassium boosts photosynthesis and participates in the water regulation mechanisms of the plant. It is also an essential nutrient in the production of proteins and the synthesis of carbohydrates. It activates cellular breathing processes.
